A must have when you’re ready to move the bigger weights I had previously purchased a “chalk block” as my first foray into using lifting chalk when my deadlifts got into the 300lb range and my grip couldn’t keep up. As far as the block goes compared to this, theres not much to say other than chalk is an immense help and something that every lifter should have in their bag. This ball has been great for indoor climbing This ball has been great for indoor climbing. Sits in my chalk bag and easily puffs out clouds of chalk with a squeeze, which has been helpful to combat sweaty hands. Using the ball has worked better than just bare chalk pieces, and I am happy I got the refillable one, so I will be able to continue using it.Update:Refiling the bag is easy, as the draw string allows you to open up the mouth of the bag. Works well with large chunky chalk, or fine powdered chalk.
