My Husband Asked Me to Buy This Soap! Shock!! I had a big shock when my husband asked me to buy Yardley’s bath soap!!! He asked for it by name!! I had no idea he even KNEW brand names of soaps! He asked for it because Yardley’s has fine-milled soaps that don’t get mushy in water. He is right-they don’t. However, they do lather up well and go on easily. They wash the dirt off I was hoping these would be smaller versions of the nice, stone-milled Yardley soap I get at the grocery store, but they are more conventional. In fact, they all smell the same to me, which is kind of like the soap you get in a mid-range motor hotel. They do what they are supposed to though, which is get us all clean, so we’ll just use them up and then look for something nicer.

Love this soap! I strayed to another brand recently because the bars were much larger than the Yardley bars, but at the end of the day I was very disappointed to find that the scent of their bars was not nearly as pleasant as Yardley’s. And Yardley brand bars seem to have a very even scent distribution all the way through the bar. I can’t say the same for the other brand I tried – the scent was okay for the first 25% of the outer layer of the bar, then almost non-existent the rest of the way through…
