Horribly inefficient, but a nice mellow glow! I’m a huge proponent of efficient lighting (LEDs), and am very pleased to see so many efficient lighting options available today. So why did I buy these horribly inefficient incandescent bulbs? Because I like the quality of the light. I’m using these in my bathroom. I want the soft light they provide for use in the evening, just before bed. And incandescents get softer and more yellow as they dim, unlike LEDs. It took Barack Obama to make some incandescent light bulbs very hard to find, but…. I’ve got some low light situations in my house where all I want is nice, mellow, 25-watt light, from good, old-fashioned incandescent light bulbs. Westinghouse and Amazon to the rescue! And thank you for making this an “add-on” item so that shipping costs weren’t a ‘disconnect’.There’s a place for bright, knock-your-eyeballs-out light bulbs, like my front porch for instance… but neither my living room nor my den is one of them.
Gave off a harsh, institutional, bluish light. Good price @ just under three dollars for a four pack & they work, but too ‘blue’ for the bathroom vanity light fixture. They gave off a harsh, institutional bluish light that didn’t work for us. Maybe they’re supposed to look that way? We didn’t like waking up and getting ready for our day in an environment with that kind of lighting (found them to be mood altering in a negative way – don’t really know how to describe it), so we removed them.
