Providing additional support and stability while walking, the Vive offset cane centers the user’s weight over the cane base for greater balance and support while reducing hand and wrist fatigue. Fitted with a nonslip rubber cane tip, the offset cane can be used while navigating any surface. Used in either hand, the cane height is also adjustable for a comfortable, customized fit.

It Works but it Weighs… I own two types of cane from VIVE–this one and an aluminum number with a ‘foamier’ shepherd’s crook handle. Both are securely adjustable. Over several weeks of changing between one and the other, I have settled on using the aluminum one: it is lighter and less ‘industrial’ looking and feeling. Comparison of Nova and Vive canes I also use a Nova so am able to compare the two. The Nova seems to have some small advantages over the Vive. The grip and tip are not tightly attached to the Vive and can be rotated easily, not so on the Nova. The Nova has not rattled since the initial length adjustment, the Vive has required frequent retightening to prevent rattling. The Nova is advertised as supporting 300 pounds and the Vive 250. There is no noticeable weight or tubing size difference, tho I did not weigh or measure them…
