They still look cool, but the plastic is too flimsy when playing … Maybe it’s just me, but I swear the bulldozer I had when I was little was much bigger than this one. Also, the one I had was all metal. These retro Tonkas are mostly plastic now. They still look cool, but the plastic is too flimsy when playing with them in the dirt or sand. I would rather have paid a few more bucks for an exact version of the old Tonkas. You’re mainly just paying for the brand name and the nostalgia with these.
Highly productive earth mover. Needed to source additional mobile equipment for my nephew’s large scale earth works projects in a rush. Wasn’t willing to pay hefty mobilization fees or sign complex lease agreements with either CAT or Komatsu. We ended doing some searching and found this gem. Nephew loves it and the unit has excellent reliability, low maintenance cost, and very fuel efficient. Now if only we could train the operator to not abuse it so much.
They dont make like they used to When my younger brother had these at the age of 4, they were completely metal. Now they make them completely.plastic…until I found this. I bought and the wheels, underside, and the seat surroundings are plastic but the rest are metal! It looks sturdy as well, but I wont know how well until my nephew gets to be a little older.
