BrightCare Toilet Support bars are designed to fit manufacturer’s round or elongated standard toilet bowls. Measuring for the correct size prior to purchasing your seat is very important. Using a tape measure, first measure the distance between the hinge post holes at the back of the lid area. The standard distance between the hinge post holes is 5-1/2-Inch. BrightCare Toilet Support holes will line up with standard screws on the 5-1/2-Inch posts.
Good for elongated seat This one has a longer handle for elongated seat.It does not feel sturdy, but it is holding up well.A couple of negatives:1. The base mounting plate holes are off slightly and would not fit the standard USA toilet. I had to drill new holes.2. It has legs going to the floor and they get in the way. My other safety frame hooks onto the toilet seat instead, and that is a better design.
Three Stars Awfully wobbly when attached to toilet. Vertical legs probably to thin for design.
Does not fit standard 5 1/2″ toilet seat mounting holes! Add says it fits a standard 5 1/2″ toilet seat holes, this is not true. The elongated holes on the mounting bracket are 5 1/2″ apart. This sounds ok but, the standard holes for a toilet seat are 5 1/2″ on center. There for, the bracket does not allow for the diameter of the mounting bolt. The only way to mount this would be to elongate the hold with a file or some other method. This is not acceptable on a brand new item. I am definitely returning.
