Not sturdy enough for every day use! No. At first I was pleased with this product because it offered a solution for my wall to banister stairway. Its a bit annoying to use, it requires you to clip/unclip three latches at the banister each time you open and close. However, my biggest complaint is that it wears out so quickly. After less than 3 months of use the top fabric already has holes in five locations! I’ve included photos. This product is not ideal for every day use.
Ok I guess I think it’s a little overpriced for the product you get. It’s not as convenient as normal baby gates, with a normal gate you just open the door and walk through, with this you have to unroll it, use 3 different latches and tighten it and then when you want to get through you have to unlatch the 3 latches and roll it back up, and continue this process whenever you want to put it up and take it down, not very convenient while watching/carrying a baby. Good Quality, Limited Use Seems like a good idea but wouldn’t work for our stairs. We have about 3″ of wood before the iron spindles on our railing start, and because of that, you can’t fully secure the gate at the bottom. I was originally interested in this gate because our banister and wall don’t line up perfectly, so our gate was going to have to be slightly angled across the stairs.
