The definitive chronicle of Jews in baseball through rich images of their cards, this coffee table book also follows the history of baseball cards. Illustrated with 698 cards depicting the first 170 Jewish major-league players from 1871 through 2016, the Jewish Baseball Card Book follows the evolution of trading cards from tobacco company issues of the early 1900s to modern designs, such as multiple images of 2017 World Series heroes Alex Bregman and Joc Pederson. A perfect holiday or birthday treat for anyone who loves baseball.
Awesome! It is home run for both the professional … As a collected of Jewish baseball cards it is difficult to keep track of all of the cards that have been produced from those who never had a card until the set produced by Jewish Major Leaguers. This book puts my collection into perspective, highlighting the contributions of Jewish players throughout the ages. The photography is incredible and the descriptions are most helpful and intriguing. Awesome! It is home run for both the professional and the amateur collector alike.
Crown Jewel for the Jewish Baseball Card Collector Wonderful book which captures so much information with stunning images. Seeing cards from my collection brought back some happy memories of my childhood hobby. Learning that foreign baseball cards were produced of Jewish players was a real surprise and incentive for acquisition. Index and photos of the baseball cards will come in handy as I update my inventory and develop my want list.Thank you for putting this great book together.
