You will get better run time with a clean Roomba. I am replacing a Tenergy Roomba 500 battery installed on 8/2013 as it has finally died. I am buying 2 more to have on hand. Our Roomba’s (We have 5.) run almost every day. Battery life is greatly affected by how well your machine is maintained. We have 2 cats, so we get hair in the gearbox which greatly increases the load on the cleaning cartridge motor. I disassemble my Roomba’s every few months and clean the gearboxes, brush bearings and wheel assemblies which noticeably increases the speed…
Meltdown after one year…. I purchased this battery almost exactly one year ago and it recently melted my Roomba 550 battery compartment. Up until about a month ago it was working great, then it would run for about 3 minutes and then just stop in its tracks. When I pulled it out of the Roomba I noted that the battery compartment under the bad cell was deformed from the heat. Thankfully there was no further damage or a fire.I’m pretty sure it’s out of warranty by this time. I couldn’t easily find Tenergy’s…

Worked perfectly for my Roomba 595 Pet Series.I have been getting ERROR 05 whenever I charged my Roomba, and simply gave up on iRobot customer service as they couldn’t tell me immediately what was wrong – figured I should just get a battery replacement, and this was the first one I found. Works just as advertised and now I’m back to being Roomba-happy. 5 stars!
