Cheap plastic replaced with metal I decided on this one after much debate between this and the Mayfair one where the bottom (adult seat) was wood. The big plus on this one seemed to be that the plastic would hold up better. Nice concept and the install was quick and easy. However, like many other reviewers, the seat became loose after only 1 week!! The plastic bolts did not hold up and thus, the seat would slide. In one instance, I sat down and the seat slid off the top of the toilet a little and gave me a good scare…
Works, but you get what you pay for.
Customer Video Review Length:: 0:56 Mins Iâm giving it 3 stars because of price. This seat will work, however I donât know how long till it cracks at the connection. I have had it less than a month. It was easy to install. And is a third of the price of the slow closing, magnet maintaining, metal connectors … etc etc. Which I plan on buying for downstairs bathroom which will get much more use. I was not paid or compensated for this review.
Cheap, plasticy, and the adult opening is smaller than normal. We tried the Summer Infant 2 in 1 and the Mayfair NextStep. We returned the Summer Infant seat for following reasons (we kept the Mayfair NextStep):Cons: – No quiet close. – Plasticy and did not seem sturdy. My husband felt like when the lid is down, if he sat on the closed lid it would crack. – adult seat opening is smaller than normal size. This did not go over well with my husband. – Looked cheap.Pros: – easy install
