In mallet finger the extensor tendon gets damaged which results in abnormally flexed DIP joint or finger deformity. The mallet finger splint supports the distal inter-phalangeal joint in an extended position which promotes the healing of terminal extensor tendon. At the same time facilitates the free movement of proximal inter-phalangeal joint (PIP). It has Ethafoam padded aluminium coated body; the splint can be bent for required comfortable immobilization. The anatomical design with adjustable hook and loop fasteners assists in easy application, close fitting and excellent grip. It does not restrict your routine work, can be worn while playing, swimming or keyboard use, etc. The splint is also suitable for post fracture care of the distal phalange.
