Not for ambulatory patients Ordered this mat by mistake. Meant to order one with an alarm to alert me when my wife stepped out of bed. Decided to try it anyway, since she is a fall risk. Placed it along her side of the bed. Stepping onto it from the floor is a tripping hazard for someone who shuffles his/her feet – 2″ thick. Once on it, it is very difficult to walk, since your feet sink all the way to the bottom. My wife weighs 123 lbs and she did not have the strength to lift her feet out of the hole they created…
The mat is very well made and the padding is good quality. I purchased this for my elderly mother and I feel a little more at ease because of this product. The mat is very well made and the padding is good quality.
Not bad Bought this for my mother in an assisted living facility where she’s been having falls more often. I bought this may for the reviews and the price. It seems to be pretty good, but the only drawback was the strong rubber smell when I opened it up. Hopefully, it will dissipate over time.
