A disappointment Normally, I buy the Scott 1000 here on Amazon. I thought the idea of a tubeless roll was interesting so I thought I’d give it a try. The paper itself is fine but the inner core without the roll is not tight and it makes it a bit nuisancy towards the end of a roll. There also appear to be less paper on a roll, so you’ll go through them more quickly. But the bone I have to pick with this idea is the cost. Long story short…on a cost per square foot basis, this Tube Free version is 263% MORE…
I have to say I really like these. I originally bought into the idea of … I have to say I really like these. I originally bought into the idea of tube free and decided to give a try. We usually buy from Amazon due to high prices of to where we live. I pick the best deal which is usually Charmin but wanted to try these. My first impression was the rolls were quite small. Like others say the end of roll is weird due to lack of tube, however is not a big deal considering there is one less thing to throw in trash. I liked the feel, I used Scott 1000 my whole childhood…
I hate this stuff. I *HATE* this stuff.First – no tube means finding the damn center before putting on your dispenser.Second – it doesn’t roll nicely.Third – when you try to tear it the roll goes sideways and can get stuck on the side of your dispenser.Fourth – the texture is like Frickin cottonelle. I miss the old sandpaper Scott. Your fingers will go right through this when in “use”. Gross.20 rolls to go… sigh
