More Fun than Jogging. This Schwinn Kickbike — is a Real Blast to Ride. For exercise, I normally walk or jog (mainly walk) in a large regional park near where I live. There are five miles of walking trails that are mostly flat since the park follows a series of man-made lakes arranged all in-a-row. The trails are covered with asphalt.I was thinking of getting a so-called âadultâ aluminum scooter (which has slightly bigger wheels), but many of the reviews I read said that the ride was pretty bumpy especially if youâre not riding on cement…
Deck Too High I took a chance on this because I really wanted to try a Kick Bike out before dropping $400+ on the higher rater models. The color is a fantastic pearly-tangerine. I like that is was easy to put together and the handlebars are easily adjusted. However, the clearance of the deck (distance from the ground) is just too high to make the ride comfortable. It’s very hard on the knees and hips.
Very sturdy, Doesn’t fit well in small vehicles! Rear wheel tire popped within a month of use. It is a solid, heavy frame and great for urban mushing. Used with a great dane with great success.Expect to want to upgrade the tires and inner tubes depending on where you’re riding. It can be surprisingly awkward to try and transport and store in a small space, I believe replacing the axel rods with quick release ones may be beneficial if you want to easily store it in a smaller space or car.
