Two different path-connection games in one box. Strategic, but easy to play for 2-6 players. Cable Car is a really good abstract tile-placement game. This edition is a reprint of “Metro” by the same designer, and offers two games in one box, which makes it a great value. The primary game requires you to connect pathways to score points. This is much more dynamic than it sounds, because each tile has 8 connecting lines that can take paths in different directions. Thus, tiles that you place to score points for yourself can end up benefitting other players as well…
Great theme and simply play This is a fun, family weight, game. I was initially concerned that the art looked muddy and bland in images you see, but in person it is delightful and fun. The pieces fit together in clever ways as you build out the city.
Learn to play in 10 minutes. Excellent family game. Easy to learn and plays very quickly. You have two tiles. Play one, then draw another. As you lay down your tiles, you try to make the longest cable car route you can, competing with other players. One point for every tile included in your route. Build your line to the power station in the center for double points. Or, you can play a tile that directs your opponents to a quick end and a short line, limiting their points.
