Not ideal for home entry doors. We bought a new home which has round knobs. Due to my disability, I have trouble turning our doorknobs especially since they are so smooth and “slippery”. So, I bought this extension handle to at least make it easier to open the front door.As others have already reported, this handle is difficult to push onto the knob. At the time I actually thought it was a good sign that the handle would remain in place. I was wrong.Entry doors have seals to help keep the home better…
No Good This “extender” will only fit the smallest of door knobs. It certainly would not fit where I need to use it. In fact, I do not have a door knob that small in the entire house. It is made of hard rubber, and hoping it possibly would stretch, I tried to push it over the know. However, the material split and now I cannot even return it for the $20 overprice that it was.
Difficult to install; works well if you can get it on the doorknob. I would give this item four stars if it were easier to install. I managed to get it onto my doorknob, but it was a huge struggle â and my hands still work fairly well. If I were older or more infirm, I would have had to get help. In addition, the handle extension feels a little flimsy. But it does the job and Iâm happy.
