Look For Another Brand Undoubtedly the worst purchase I have made on Amazon. Flimsy, flimsy products, especially the shower sponge and the shoe horn. The reacher has never had any good reviews and I had to purchase a stand alone reacher that has rubber tongs on the end that is not a Sammons product for $20.00 ( Cojoy Brand ) more because of all the bad reviews for their reacher. This kit was not cheap in price, but cheap in quality for sure. I am only 5’8″ and the length of the sponge and shoe horn are too short…
Kit to Make Users Self Sufficient: Terrific! This kit was worth its weight in gold: it’s essential to those recovering from lower back surgery (as well as hip and knee problems). It was recommended to me by a “recovery nurse”, who showed me exactly how to use everything. The “grabber” for reaching the unreachable is a better quality than the usual ones, because it’s designed better. Putting on shoes and socks is still awkward, but almost painless and easy to do. Good for its intended use! The therapist in rehabilitation said we needed to get this after my hip was replaced. The shoe horn was used until the swelling in my left leg and foot decreased. The sock aid item, never could get it to work on the hip high socks, so quit wearing them. The pick or grabber woks very well when you can’t bend over getting your nickels on after a shower. It is five weeks since the hip replacement and all items are not required any longer. Other than that, I was glad r to have them until the hip…
