Plugs pull right out and little hands can fit right in.
Customer Video Review Length:: 0:46 MinsThis video shows the Safety 1st Power Strip Cover installed on an average size power strip. You can see how the plugs can be pulled right out of the strip and then the cover. It also lets you see how large the opening is and that it may be large enough for a small child’s hand to get into.
If you don’t mind the ugly look, an excellet way to protect your child. Excellent protection. From the picture you can tell that one piece slides into another. The smaller piece on the left and right side has a button that must be depressed to get it to slide in. Once both buttons on each side are depressed they will pop into one of the multiple designated holes to lock itself in. The buttons are stiff enough that it would be hard for a baby/toddler to depress. Since the buttons are on each side, a child does not have the hand width to wrap his hands around…
Not great, but about as good as it gets for … Not great, but about as good as it gets for power strip covers. The cover is generously sized, so you can easily fit large plugs inside. The downside of that is that it is very bulky and not very attractive, looks-wise. Easy enough to get on, but once on, you cannot access the plugs inside without completely removing the cover, which is somewhat of a pain, especially if you are like me and are constantly moving your phone/computer chargers around the house.
