Great simple lock defeated by weak adhesive tape. There aren’t a lot of options for child safety locks on ovens.
Universal, easy to install, a toddler-home must-have I am thrilled with this product. My toddler loves to tug at the oven handle, especially when it’s on. She’s not been able to open it yet, but I really needed to do something. It was super easy to install and has held tight while using the oven numerous times. Essentially this product is a locking hinge. It adheres to to the oven face and a tab locks in place in front of the oven door. It’s a brilliant idea. I had tried some side locks but the way my oven is recessed I couldn’t make those…
Easy enough for me to unlock and I can’t imagine … UPDATE 3/06/2017: I have purchased a second lock because the adhesive strip keeping the lock on the stove melted. I accept blame for this, as I had several pans warming in the oven and one was slightly too big allowing super hot air to escape through the oven door. This lock still works great when the oven is on, but the door is completely SHUT.
