Worked Without Boxspring I was hesitant to purchase this due to other reviews saying it wouldn’t work without a boxspring, but we needed something to keep our 2 year old from falling out of bed and onto hardwood floors at night. We bought the Pottery Barn ‘Catalina’ bed which has slats and doesn’t need a boxspring, but I decided to try this out anyway. While the adjustable cord part doesn’t hook onto anything, the metal “arms” sit perfectly under the mattress and the whole thing is held in place by the side…
Box spring NOT required – fits fine on a flat top steel bed frame I was a little discouraged by all the reviews stating that a box spring is REQUIRED for these bedrails but after looking at the pictures closely I decided to order two anyway. We just got our 3 year old a twin size bed and mattress and two of bedrails fit perfectly fine on a flat top steel bed frame. Take a look at the customer pictures, I posted two photos.
Strong and safe Love this bed rail for cosleeping. My daughter fell off our high bed one night and I knew it was time to get safer. She is now 18 months old and can shake the bar and lean on it and I am never worried it will not hold her!
