Does your little one envy the big kids’ Razor scooters? Give your child a Razor Jr. Kiddie Kick scooter, which lets your child tag along without jeopardizing his or her safety. Outfitted with a welded steel frame and a three-wheel design, the scooter makes riding fun for kids 3 and up. The scooter also includes a wide, slip-resistant deck that’s extremely stable, as is the extra-wide rear wheelbase. Other features include a padded T-bar, a low profile for easy scooting, and large smooth-rolling wheels.
Don’t buy: The back wheel is in the way for a small kid There are some products that make you wonder how they got out of the manufacturer’s door. This is one such. I wish I had done some research before buying. See pic. My son is almost three. He has been using his sister’s three wheel scooter (two front, one rear) for a while. We got this for him but the rear wheel is exactly in the way preventing him from giving himself a proper push.
WARNING: ANKLE DESTROYER It is not just the back wheel that interferes with your child’s foot. There is also an unforgiving metal bolt that protrudes three quarters of an inch from the wheel hub. It is an ankle destroying nightmare.
My Kids Love It! My five year old daughters love these scooters! They were easily assembled within about 10 minutes. I have seen others giving mixed reviews on the back wheel causing problems, but it doesn’t seem to affect my children. I’m guessing this is possibly due to the child’s height? The wheels are a good size and seem like they will be durable as well as the frame, handles, and deck. For around $20 I think these would make a great gift!
