The Razor A5 DLX is the go-to ride for an on-the-go lifestyle. Building on our classic A5 Lux frame, the A5 DLX adds our patent-pending, anti-rattle handlebar and folding mechanism to deliver a solid, smooth ride. Combined with extra-large, 8” (200 mm) wheels and super-strong, aluminum construction, the A5 DLX is the king of comfort for daily riding. Designed for riders ages 8 and up, weighing up to 220 pounds (100 kg).
Handlebars are TOO SHORT for a 6′ tall person. The maximum height of handlebars is about 38.5″ – way too short for a 6′ or taller person. Have to hunch to ride it.Having said that, in case you’re wondering, this model does feel sturdier and quieter compared to the rattling front wheel of the cheaper A5 model. That’s probably worth the extra money, since the difference in price isn’t huge.
Runs great, but certain features are near useless. Great, but the kick stand is very difficult to use — it’s recessed from the edge and you literally have to get your fingers down under there to deploy it. The collapsing handlebars are useful for long term storage or long car trips, but useless on a daily commute as they swing all over the place and are not secured – not a headline feature. Used as a daily commuter – on commuter train, 3 miles round trip, back on commuter train and stowed in trunk of car.
Great beginning scooters for teens Rides smoothly, the stand seems a little flimsy and might break if someone accidentally stands on it while it is down. But braking, smoothness while riding (no wobbliness) and looks are all fine. Bought it for my 13 yr old nephew, who is very happy with it so far – though this is his first scooter. I have ridden it as well and it definitely passed my expectations!
