The original kick scooter just got a whole lot better, making it even more fun for kids and teens alike. Though it’ll never replace the internal combustion engine, the Razor A3 will get your child from point a to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one’s shoes in the process. Plus, it’s a blast to use, as your progeny will likely attest. The Razor A3 is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Razor combined the traditional aluminum construction, however, with a number of recent innovations, including a springless shock-absorbing system that makes bumpy pavement feel smoother than ever and an all-new wheelie bar that guarantees an extra dollop of fun. Add in such details as 125 mm urethane wheels, ABEC-5 high-speed bearings, a patented rear fender brake, and a patented folding mechanism and you have a great kick scooter for virtually any situation. This version of the Razor A3, which supports up to 143 pounds and is recommended for ages 5 and older.
My Lovely Green Razor Scooter I’m an adult, I don’t care! This thing is awesome. I have been using my scooter for a week now, to go to the grocery store, and to work. It cuts my commute time from 40 mins to 20 mins. Likewise with getting to the grocery store, 20 mins to 10 mins, so it has reduced travel time by %50 when compared to walking. I am 5′ 6″, and I was concerned the scooter would be hard to control because of it’s light weight; I was also concerned it would irritate my shoulder because I presumed I would be…
A good scooter for older children but (un)folding mechanism could be improved We needed a new scooter for our relatively scooter-experienced 7-year old since a hand-me-down A Razor from an older sibling got too small for her. After comparing scooter specs in March 2016 we settled for an A3. The following comments apply:1. For for a price difference of only $6, the A3 is a better buy than the A2. The A3 has slightly larger wheels with better bearings than the A2 –which yield a smoother ride on uneven sidewalks– and a slightly larger frame with a larger…
Stood the test of time I particularly liked the larger wheels on this one since I rode it to and from class on my campus where there were a lot of bricks and inconsitencies in the sidewalks (helped to smooth out the ride). Over a few years the connection between the vertical post and the foot plate has gotten more loose, but I also abused this thing into the ground (there’s rubber from my shoe soles melted to the brake pad from all the times I took it down hills at full speed) and it still works great after 5 years…
