The lobby broom is angle cut and made with the finest broom fibers for sweeping all types of surface debris, both large and small. On the broom, the handle is made of powder coated steel. The lobby broom and dustpan snap together for easy, compact storage while the built-in feet allow you to store the product in an upright position without taking up added space. too large and klunky dustpan Dustpan is WAY too large for the average home kitchen. I measure about 12″ across and 4″ deep— I guess that’s why they call it “lobby broom” It’s difficult to store in a tiht space where we need to stow t away, like next to the refrigerator or washng machine. But the broom height is fine for me (I’m 5’5″) if you hold it like a a golf club.
Perfect for quick clean-up May cats are messy eaters so this works perfectly for picking up cat food bits. The rubber strip makes good contact with the floor so that all that you sweep into the dust pan goes in, not under, it. They should include a picture of it with a person – there seems to be confusion on how long the handle is. Think of janitors in a park or mall, with the short-handled broom. It’s not designed for large jobs.
A good broom set I ordered this set to sweep my work room at the end of the day, so I don’t have to haul out the vacuum every time. It’s a little bigger than I expected, but once I got used to that, I’m pleased with it. It works, the trash goes into the pan and stays there instead of spilling all over the place. The broom does a good job sweeping. And it does remain standing up once I’m done with it without flopping over. Doesn’t hurt that it’s a pretty blue. So a good purchase.
