Freedom Swedish AFB is an injection-molded polyethylene splint that provides static dorsiflexion assistance and lateral stability for the entire foot-ankle area. Injection molding allows for thicker polyethylene on the vertical aspect for rigidity and a thinner footplate that may be trimmed with a pair of ordinary scissors. A heat gun may be used to further form the splint If desired. The low arch and open heel give this splint a streamlined profile that fits easily into any shoe. Padded hook-and-loop strap secures the afro around the calf. Available in left or right, Men’s and Women’s styles. Trim to fit with scissors. Sizing: Men’s fits up to Men’s size 12. Women’s fits up to Women’s size 9-1/2.
Save your money I bought this because I have drop foot and chronic extensor tendinitis and thought that this would be an occasional alternative to my Arizona Brace, first, the calf portion is way too skinny, I included a picture, the calf portion is wrapped around a Mountain Dew can and you can’t really tell in the pic but the can is bent inward because the calf portion is so narrow. … have severe drop foot and find that these work best fit. The biggest reason is because they’re lightweight I have severe drop foot and find that these work best fit. The biggest reason is because they’re lightweight. Other more durable materials might last longer but ultimately make me more tired and also hurt to stand on. From me these fit my needs and don’t tire me out . Also when my product has broken within the warranty timeframe this company has always worked with me and been fair. I really hope they carry them forever.
