Longer than your standard candelabra bulb… Summary: It’s another great bulb for the Hue system, but I wish I could give it 4.5 stars because it’s slightly longer than any of our existing candelabra bulbs and sticks out of the lamps in a funny way where our old bulbs didn’t… If you have a different lamp with a slightly bigger shade, then this is definitely a 5 star product for you.When I bought my starter pack of hue bulbs a few years ago, I had no idea how much I was going to fall in love with the system. Inspect bulbs carefully. If you are having connection issues immediately check the bulbs to ensure that your bulbs have serial numbers. If they do not have serial numbers they are not HUE bulbs and will not connect to the bridge. Three of the ten bulbs I purchased were regular led Philips bulbs disguised in hue packaging. Check each bulb for a unique serial number. If it does not have a serial number it is not a Hue Bulb and you need to contact customer service. Very good – bit big, but there is a hack I love having these bulbs in my home (i have several in various rooms). As far as the Candle/decorative ones I did find they are noticeably bigger than the typical candle/decorative bulb (see pics). And then I was very sad that I couldn’t get them in the lamp glass for my ceiling fan. Out of desperation, I tried a hack by cutting the tip of the bulb off to shorten the length and voila … it worked. Now it may not look as awesome and I’m sure I voided any warranty it had, but I have yet to…
