Newer version is out The bulb is great but be aware that there is an updated version of this bulb. The new bulb has the exact same UPC but is significantly different. The new version puts out 840 lumens vs. 800 for the old version, and it also uses 9 watts of power vs. 9.5 for the last version. If you want max brightness then the new version is what you want. Great warm temperature LED smart bulb at a great price. We have a number of the TP-Link smart, dimmable LED bulbs that work well with the Amazon Alexa system. They are great bulbs (and now even handier as you can adjust them directly through the Alexa app with an Echo Plus). But they cost $20 or more the last time we bought some. This Philips bulb that came with our Echo Plus seems to be as good, and costs much less. Not the same as the ones that come with the starter kit and doesn’t connect as easily to the bridge Not as bright as the 2nd gen lights that come with the starter kit and don’t connect as easily to the bridge. I had to manually enter the serial number for each light in order for the bridge to recognize the lights. Not a deal breaker but not exactly happy either. Bottom line is they do work and work well once connected. Just not as bright or as easily connected as 2nd gen lights. Product description definitely needs some clarification on there lights.
