OXO does not make sturdy products anymore I purchased this because the dustpan of our 11-year-old OXO broom/dustpan set finally broke. That was such a great set. This new design is a piece of garbage. The broom is flimsy (I don’t use it and instead use the 11-year-old broom). The dustpan is also very cheap. Rather than flipping from sweep-mode to carry-mode by maneuvering the handle, the dustpan requires me to manually reposition it (defeating the point of a long-handled dustpan). I agree with another buyer than the dustpan is warped,…
Love this because of it’s form factor – very useful. Bought another one! I saw negative reviews for this item because people were stating it was too short and meant for kids to use. Actually, it’s exactly how it was meant to be … nearly waist high and meant for quick clean ups. I’m nearly 5’9″ and got this to assist so I wouldn’t have to stoop so much to clean pine pellet litter around our litter boxes. For that purpose and quick little clean ups, this is PERFECT. Would I clean my entire house using this? No … just as I wouldn’t clean all floors perched on…
broom bristles become useless and doesn’t stay upright I really wanted to like this, but huge disappointed. I got one a while back and immediately the red comb fell off and just wouldn’t stay on. Eventually, the broom bristles just bent and became useless. No amount of cleaning helped to make it look cleaner or get the bristles straight. I thought it was a fluke. So I got second one. This one lasted in less time.In both cases, the dustpan does not stay upright. It just falls right over unless I lean it against a wall. On top of which,…
