Seems to be durable so far Works very well and I use it in the shower and so far it’s holding up better than any other seat I’ve used in the past. If it can give me a good year’s use I will be happy. So far I have used it for five months with no signs of breakdown. A comparable seat I’ve used in the past has already broken down by now.
Still looking for the ideal toilet seat cushion/riser…. I’m not overly impressed with this so far. It IS nice and cushiony and makes a comfortable seat (if you want to spend your life sitting on the john!). It is not U shaped but almost a complete oval with only about 1.5″ of space between the two pieces in the front. The hole in the cushion makes it almost impossible to reach through to use toilet tissue–this is a problem for a person who has difficulty standing. Being that these are marketed as an aide to someone needing a raised toilet…
