WHAT IS (EC) ELIMINATION COMMUNICATION?
Elimination Communication is a gentle, non-coercive way to respond to a baby’s natural hygienetic needs, from as early as birth. Like all mammals, human babies instinctually resist soiling themselves, their sleep space, and their caregivers, and they clearly communicate about it from birth. With EC, we learn baby’s signals and natural rhythms and assist them with this process until they naturally gain independence (usually by 9-18 months of age).
With EC, we tune into what our babies are born asking for, team up to help them use the toilet while they develop motor skills and long-term memory, and eventually teach them how to do it themselves. It’s a very natural transition to toilet independence. Parents who EC, use the diaper as a “back-up” instead of a permanent, wearable toilet. We invest our time up-front (not as much as you’d guess) so we don’t have to potty train and reteach our children to go in the toilet later.
PROMOTE POTTY INDEPENDENCE – Other available products on the market make it difficult for children to get on their toilet training seats and even if they do, it becomes difficult for young children to stay on it because of the large size. Our Mini Potty chair is designed smaller than the rest so that your child can easily get on and off it and be in control of potty time themselves.
NON-TOXIC SAFE MATERIALS – Made under strict quality controls, our baby Mini Potty Chair is BPA free. It’s made with sturdy, yet lightweight, recyclable plastic and is ergonomically designed featuring a front splash guard for boys.
PROFESSIONALLY DESIGNED – Our Mini Potty Chair for children was designed and created by EC training expert, author, and mother of 4, Andrea Olson from Asheville, North Carolina. It weighs only 6 oz, and measures 11″ x 8.8″ x 5.5″ inches. Just the right size for an on the go toilet.
Perfect size I only received this potty two days ago. It is study, yet lightweight. Plus, my 9 months old can sit on it. We haven’t caught a potty yet, but its introduction is going well. The handle in the back is great for easy pouring and cleaning. This will also be great for travel in the car.
Mini Potty Love the color and the size! Small enough to fit the little babes but big enough to grow with them. If you have multiple, they stack for easy storage and they’re really light for easy dumping. Looking forward to using ours for many years!
Perfect size Perfect size!My 2.5 year old has dwarfism and this potty is the perfect size for her shorter limbs and tiny bottom. She is the height of an average 8-12 month old and can easily get on and off the potty by herself.
