Most parts seems to be heavy duty plastic and the packaging was very flimsy and most cars were out of place when we took it out of shipping box. Giving as a gift, but would not purchase again and definitely disappointed in the quality for the price paid. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous that the List price value is $34.99 and that at 17.98, you’re supposedly saving 49%. I would say that the quality of the toys aren’t even worth the 17.98 I paid.
Die cast? Ha! The pieces in this set claim to be “die cast” – this is PARTLY true. SOME of the pieces have SOME die cast metal pieces. They are so cheaply made I expect them to fall apart if I look at them too hard – kind of bummed at how chintzy this set is.
meh Really, I shouldn’t have expected much more, but the package says die-cast construction. That’s true – in part. These are your typical cheezy cars. The bodies of some of them are metal, but many of them are plastic. The wheels are of the flimsy variety – you know the kind. They end up sticking out at odd angles after a couple plays due to the thin axles. That said, there are a lot of pieces to keep your little guy (or gal) busy and the play mat is a hit.
