Expected much better quality, especially from Melissa & Doug Expected much better quality, especially from Melissa & Doug. Paper squares don’t fit very well into the spinner, and often move and shift during spinning. The paint colors are vibrant while wet, but dry very muted. My 3 1/2 year old child was frustrated that she could not spin the paper and pour the paint. It takes two hands to spin the paper… one to pull the spin lever, and another to hold the red plastic spin art “dish”. When she tried, the spinner would slow down to almost a…
Fun for the whole family The general idea is pretty simple. You stick the red base to a table/surface with suction cups, insert a piece of paper, spin, and apply paint. We gave this to my daughter for Christmas and she loves it. You can make some interesting looking art with it.
OK but disappointing…spin mechanism needs work This was not what I expected. On one hand it’s nice because there’s no batteries but on the other hand…there’s no batteries to keep the paper spinning so on top of trying to squirt the paint, kids are trying to do the little crank handle that keeps it spinning. Even with adult assistance it doesn’t spin long at all. My daughter is having fun with it with some frustration as well.
