Turn the gears slowly and watch each interlocking segment move the next, or see how fast your child can make the caterpillar “crawl” on the wooden base. This rainbow-colored gear toy is hands-on fun at any speed! With their bulky, notched shape, the colorful gears are easy for children to fit onto the color-coordinated pegs . . . then rotate, remove and rearrange. Toddlers will be fascinated by the colors and movement of this charming toy.
The most played with toy in the house I bought this for my daughter when she was about 6 months old. It was an immediate favorite. She would just pick up the gears and chew on them, but she loved it. He just touched it and the gears spin easily so he figured out pretty quickly My 6 mo old son loves it! He just touched it and the gears spin easily so he figured out pretty quickly. For his age, I was expecting him to just grab and lick them, which he does too. But I’m happy to see him playing, spinning the gears. Would like to use it to teach colors when he is ready.
