The hinge has a safety device on it, which makes it a lot harder to accidentally pinch fingers. This is a very well thought-out piece. The shelf in the back is brilliant. Only four stars because the chair does topple easily (could be fixed if legs slanted out instead of being straight up and down). As it is small, a fall from this height isn’t that big a deal.
Fits her perfect!! My daughter is almost 5 years old. 42 inches tall. Fits her perfect!!! Took 20 minutes to put together. Very sturdy.
