Perfect fun for a little girl! I bought this as an early birthday gift for a 2-year-old who will be 3 in two weeks (she often wanted to play with MY necklace when I was wearing one). This set is recommended for age 4 and older, but this little girl had no trouble with it. She did not seem aware of creating patterns, but reached first for the larger, brighter beads for her first necklace. An older child would be more likely to actually “design” necklaces by paying attention to colors and pattern sequencing.She…

Great activity gift for a young girl I bought this for my almost-5-year-old niece. She loved this gift and began playing with it soon after opening. The beads provide a wide variety of large and small beads, various colors and shapes, and several different colored cords. Each cord is wrapped on each end to help the child get the beads on, which made it very easy for my niece to quickly make necklaces for everyone in the room. There are some issues with the thread The beads are very pretty and varied. I like the fact that it has clasps. I do have two complaints. The first is if you cut off the end cap of the thread that comes with the package, it starts fraying. To get through one small bracelet, I had to re-trim the thread many many times. The second problem I encountered was the holes through the beads were not always clean. When combined with the first problem it meant I was stringing the beads (and could barely do it) instead of my daughter as I…
