Cute toy for imaginative play Got this for my 3 year old and she loves it. She loves to put the animals in the little train and push them around the farm. Great for imaginative play. I like that the pieces all store inside it when sheâs done playing so we wonât lose anything.
Good overall, with some design aspects I didn’t like I’m on the fence about whether I like this Melissa & Doug farm box enough to give it a 4, but our toddler likes it a lot, so it gets 4 stars. Overall, the quality is good in terms of construction and materials, but for me, there are several smaller annoyances that add up. Our son really doesn’t care about these nits, but as a parent, I am more demanding.I like that it’s self-contained and that all the pieces can be stored inside the carrying case when done. Fun farm train set. A little bulky to transport easily though This is a well made and fun set. It is solid wood and can withstand all the beatings a toddler/young kid might bestow upon it. It has a track carved in it with a couple of switches for variety, so it’s not just a boring old circle (it’s two boring circles! JK).
