It took a bit of engineering to make it stable where I needed it but well worth it. (There was no stud where it needed to go and the wall was plasterboard). The elegant solution in my case was a wooden “plate attached to the studs on either side) and the bar bolted into the plate. (Thanks, John)
Handicap Bar This is a very Strong and Sturdy bar and the bracket is really strong. The one draw back is the side to side is of a concern – it is wobbly side to side and I am afraid if it is leaned on the side it will pull out of the wall – Not sure how that can be fixed as the screws are already quite long. This bar will definitely hold the weight of a person pushing down on it though – very impressed
and this one is the good fit for her bathroom My momâs toilet does not have a wall on the two sides, only the back, and this one is the good fit for her bathroom. What I really like is the vertical support stick, it is more safe for her to hold onto when she stands up. Itâs safe and secure and can handle her weight of 160lb without shaking. It also folds so this really helps when cleaning.
