I asked my orthopedist for something better and he said that this was the best style … I dislocated my shoulder and ended up fracturing the head of the humerus. I had to keep my arm immobilized and in a sling for over a month while my arm and shoulder healed. The sling they gave me in the ER was the same style, but had a foam interior and the velcro feel apart after a couple weeks.
