Best remedy for wounded nipple! I had an open wound on my nipple that would not heal despite over a month of using various ointments. I couldn’t nurse with that breast because it was so bad. It finally healed after about 5 days or so of using the hydrogel pads and I’m so very grateful! The reason they worked was because they keep the wound moist so that it doesn’t break open when suction is put on it, such as from pumping. Cool relief! These are a lifesaver for breastfeeding moms! As a first time mom, these were a lifesaver. After baby boy was born, his latch wasn’t great, and nursing him got really painful. It got to the point where I was having pain even in between nursing sessions. A nurse in the hospital gave me a sample of these hydrogel pads, and they gave so much relief that I bought a bunch more to use at home! I used these for the first 1.5 months. Great and helpful These pads are a life saver for breastfeeding moms. I was introduced to them in he hospital and continue to use them today, three months later. While easy to use and place, they cannot be used in place of a bra as they will lose their stickiness and peel away. I prefer the Lansinoh ones to be honest as they are round and seem to stick better. This may have to do with the instructions to wet the Medela pads before applying where the Lansinoh advise not to get them wet.The Medela get cool…
