New design over the lace type but maybe a 3 not quite 3+. This is ok, I wouldn’t think this is level 3+, maybe a 3. It is a bit pricey considering you can get other brands with a more sturdy design. But that depends on how you use it. This still allows a few movements and without hinges and plastic moldings, less chaffing or digging into anything, perfect for soccer, basketball, tennis, or jogging. Game changer for me! After tearing my ATFL, CFL, deep deltoid ligaments with 3 bone bruises, edema, a large hematoma I have bought seven braces since my walking boot. This has been the only brace I can get up and walk in without wanting to cry all day. It has really been a game changer for me. The gel cushion with hard outside plastic around my ankle has really made it feel secure. I would definitely recommend trying it if you have a grade 3 sprain or above.
