Not separately wrapped, will open all 10 at once. I am new to this… and I have 2 hives so needed 4. Bought this size thinking that it was cheaper to go ahead and buy the next 4 I’ll need for spring while I’m at it and save money. Uh, wrong. All ten are in one package, so opening the package exposes/deminishes efficacy of all of them the minute the package is opened, like a pack of hot dogs. *Just buy what you need, there is no good way to guarantee they will last once opened, so instead of saving $20, I lost $20*
Good product as part of an IPM program (don’t overuse it) Needed this to wipe out the miserable varroa mites that harass our bees. I’m not nuts about chemicals in the hive, but with brood oxalic acid is not a good treatment. This stuff works well as part of an integrated pest management program. our hives are very healthy. AND Mann Lake is good supplier, we’ve been buying from them for years.
Easy and quick acting. I didn’t do a bee wash after I treated with these strips. But did have a mite board on my two hives. And the first 24 hours after putting these strips in my mite boards were just littered with mites, hundreds of them. I’m 100% confadent, if my bees don’t make it through the winter, it won’t be because of a might problem. Also, I’ve heard of bees getting temperamental with mite treatment and I haven’t noticed and change in my bees temperament.
