A Must for Tight Work Boots I have another long handled shoe horn I used with my dress shoes and it works fine for those. When I started wearing slip on work boots the old shoe horn just wouldn’t fit down between my heel and the inside of the boot, too round and thick. Great Shoe Horn Wooden shoe horns usually cost more, so do the long plastic ones. This thing is massive heavy duty, slightly thick stainless steel. Since it is so thick, the leading edge (rounded) is almost “vee” shaped, rather than rounded like a heel. I can fix this, with my anvil a hammer, and some scrap leather, but I haven’t bothered. Because it works just fine. I love it, and I use it every day. This is a reason to build a valet dressing chair, and or a dressing area with this as centerpiece.
