WON’T WORK WITH YOUR OLDER TAG BOOKS!!! I have been building my Tag Reader library for years, and have spent hundreds of dollars. But when I bought the new system because our old pen broke, guess what? Almost NONE of the old books work anymore. Once they are out of print, Tag takes them out of the system. How hard would it be just to keep the old audio files for long time Tag Reader supporters?
Can cause some frustration for parents, but that is survivable and it’s GREAT for kids The reviews are a bit mixed and I think that’s understandable because there are times it’s hard to get the device to do what you want. But it *is* possible to do what it advertises and it’s really fantastic when it works, and once you have it configured it works fabulously well and your child is basically never forced to confront any of the frustration from the platform, so I won’t deduct any stars for that. I’ll try to break it down but will start by just saying that my 5-year-old daughter…
New LeapReader pens are junk compared to the older models We bought a Leapfrog LeapReader pen from a Toy Store for our son in 2013 and it was wonderful. I bought five books, loaded them on with no problem and he would ask to use it multiple times a day. He was reading by the time he was 5, thanks in part to the LeapReader system. We bought another pen from Amazon for our second son’s 4th birthday in December 2017. He took to it just like our first born and they loved laying on the floor next to each other every afternoon, reading their LeapReader…
