Better for heat than cold. Stays warm a long time. Use:I used these both cold (frozen) and hot (miscrowaved) for different reasons with different results. COLD: these frost up and get cold rather quickly, I would use them every couple hours between feedings to reduce engorgement. I felt as though they got cold quickly but would defrost very soon after inserting into my bra. I did not find these that great cold. Probably would not buy one or recommend it PROS: good for heating up, and taking with you places.CONS: when heating up make sure definitely know the wattage of the microwave we were using because if you heat up incorrectly it explodes in the microwave. Gets too hot to use right away. Cools down to quickly therefore you have to reheat it again. I found it more annoying than useful.
