Never recommend I was told shelds would be the best option for trying to continue breast feeding. I purchased these and with in 24 hours of using them during a 30 min feed my baby had a friction rash along her chin that took a week to clear up. I switched brands and we have never had a problem and seen a rash since.
The best shields! I love these shields! I received the Medela shield from the lactation consultant and worried about losing my only shield so I almost ordered another Medela shield until I read a wonderful review from a lady who tested 4 different shields and said these were the best. Work great for flat nipples I had flat nipples and had a lot of problems with latching in the first couple of weeks. These nipple shields worked wonders. I could not have breast fed my baby without them. When I first put it on, my nipple would be only about 1/5 the way. Then my baby sucks for 15 min and my nipple would be drawn out to fill about 4/5 of the shield! Over time it helped pulling my nipple out (and pumping helped too).
