Caper is a 2-player card strategy game where each player recruits thieves, equips them with gear, and tries to steal from popular places across Europe. Originally published under the title of It’s Mine in Europe, Keymaster has licensed the rights to publish the game and upcoming expansions in the United States and Canada. We’ve teamed up with Josh Emrich, the artist behind Campy Creatures, to re-envision the game to our audience.
Caper plays over six rounds with a colorful, quirky design that combines card drafting and set collection with area control. Players are met with challenging decisions such as drafting particular thieves, giving them specific gear, and stealing precious works of art. The game changes depending on what city you’re playing in-giving you different ways to play every time.
Fun and Easy to Learn, Difficult to Master My wife, who doesnt normally like to play many games enjoyed this quite a bit. It is quick to learn but there is enough strategy to learn to make mastering this game difficult. it is great for couples who like to sit around and game together while enjoying some drinks. The art is wonderful and charming. I highly recommend this game.
It’s not over ’til it’s over! My wife and I love this game. She’s beaten me almost every time we have played so far, but it’s always close and we can never tell who is ahead until we start counting things up at the end. The strategy is built so that each decision feels like it could make or break you, and there are so many options and path’s to victory. Besides that, it’s quick to pick up, and requires very little set up. The art is top notch and really adds to the feel of the game. Can’t wait to see more from Keymaster.
Good first impression We got this game at Gen Con and is a fantastic 2 person game. Very complex but by the end of our first game we were starting to figure things out. May be difficult for a beginner to pick up but by the end of the first game they’ll get it.We still haven’t figured out a great strategy (often something we see immediately in 2 person games) and we’re looking forward to playing more. The “catelog” will be your go to throughout the game (at least at first) it explains exactly…
