Hanukkah tells the story of the Greek who ruled over the Hebrews and persecuted them to the point that they were not allowed to practice the Torah. The Jews prevailed and turned this situation around in a defeat against the Greeks. The miracle of the oil took place and the rest is history.
These candles are great. There’s no real “wax” scent that comes off … These candles are great. There’s no real “wax” scent that comes off of them as they burn. They do drip, they were in the Menorah and we put some foil underneath to be on the safe side. They burn for a decent amount of time and look very nice. Also I appreciate that with these being beewax you are in fact able to work them a little to fit into a candle holder that might be a little on the smaller size.
The blue candles bled onto the white. They were … The blue candles bled onto the white. They were packaged together. I opened them yesterday for the first night of Chanukah to find these defective candles. Normally I would return them as defective. However, I don’t have a replacement for this holiday. I think the seller needs to package them individually or separate the blue from the white. I really like how they burn away and doesnât run and leave … I really like how they burn away and doesnât run and leave a wax mess everywhere. Can hardly tell there was a candle in the cup. The only negatives would be they burn quickly and they are not round enough to fit the cup, I had to put putty in the cup to keep them standing.
