Try a new charger station before you buy a new battery for your Roomba. While the original 700 series charging deck “light” still came on, my Roomba would not charge. After 4 years, I assumed it was the battery. Ordered the “generic” lithium battery as it had better reviews than the actual Roomba (iRobot) battery. Odd, but okay. Much better than the original Why iRobot didn’t include this version with my roomba 750 purchase, I won’t know.The charger has all the pieces integrated into the base resulting in less clutter and a heavier base. With hardwood floors, the old charger was a nightmare as it would slip and slide while the roomba was trying to dock. I tried using rug pads under the old version but that only helped a little. So I bought this to have a dedicated docking station in the second floor of my house. Works great and was a less expensive option than getting a second Roomba. Very happy with my purchase 🙂
