NOTE
When taking temperature from different parts of your body, it is normal to obtain a slight variation in the temperature readings. An ear (tympanic) temperature is usually 0.5-1°F (0.3-0.6°C) higher than an oral temperature, whereas the forehead skin temperature is usually 0.5-1°F (0.3-0.6°C) lower than an oral temperature. Therefore, it is NORMAL to get 1-2°F (0.6-1.2°C) difference between an ear and forehead measurement. This is NOT due to the inaccuracy of the thermometer.

Don’t get if you need accuracy w/in a few tenths of a point This exact item was available on Amazon at multiple prices; I decided to get it based on excellent reviews, and purchased the least expensive offering. It is definitely brand new, not reconditioned or returned. But the performance is sketchy. I took my forehead temperature a dozen times within about 90 seconds — it works instantaneously — and got temps ranging from 97.4 to 99.2. They didn’t go in one general direction, either from low to high or high to low; they were all over the place…

Very low temp reads I’ve had this thermometer for several months now and it seems to only get worse. My 7 month old clearly has a fever and these are the temp readings I get. I tested five different people and no one could even get a 98.6 reading. Readings were between 95.6 and 97.5. I definitely would not recommend it.

Wonderful Easy to use & Accurate thermometer. I am flabbergasted. I wrote a poor review and company immediately responded by sending me a second thermometer that they tested. Did not even ask for old back!!! Now thatâs Great Customer Service. By the way the new theremometer works PERFECTLY. No more fighting w/disabled husband to take temperature. Takes temp from forehead or ear. No more under tongue or rectal. Thank heavens
