Sturdy wooden set and worth the price This is exactly what it says it is. There isn’t a good description on the Amazon page, so here:1. The board is fairly sturdy. Good quality wood, and a good quality gameboard. This is just like the Scrabble game I grew up with in the 70s/80s. The wood (tiles and tile holders) is good quality, and the gameboard is good quality too. We got it to play with our 9-year-old son, and he enjoys it. It’s fun to watch him work creatively with words. And he’s learning to work the board for points now too. The other day he played a single tile for 32 points. That was great to see.
